GREAT NEWS!

4/2/2021

After hopping from venue to venue during the past twelve years, Troupe Over The Hill has finally found a home.

Acting on the unanimous decision of Troupe’s Board of Directors, President Ron Treat entered into a contract Friday to purchase a building at 105 Main Street in Normangee.  This building, which formerly was known as Red’s Floors, will be renovated and become a theater for Troupe’s plays, musical productions and other events.

“Our plans are to become a center for the arts in and around Leon County” Treat said, “and we want to include as many people as we possibly can to take part in our performances and other cultural events.”

Troupe members will be working hard in the next few weeks hoping to be ready for Youth Drama Camp this summer in the new venue.  Plans are to have a Grand Opening of the theater in a celebration this fall.  This has been the dream of Troupe’s founding members since the group’s inception in 2009 when 13 people decided to start a theatre group at Hilltop Lakes.

One of Troupe’s founding members remarked, “Our dream is finally coming true!”
